THE VICTORIA FALLS-ZAMBIA

INTRODUCTION/HISTORY:

Victoria Water Falls is the world's largest water fall having a width of 1078 m. It is located at the boarder area of Zambia and Zimbabwe. The local people of South Africa call this water fall as "Smoke That Thunders" (Mosi-oa-Tunya). The water falls from a height of 354 ft, so you people can imagine the beauty and sound of that water coming from such a height.

David Lavingston explored the water fall while crossing the area in 1855 and named this spectacular water fall after queen Victoria.
