INTRODUCTION/HISTORY:

            A mountain of seven colors came into being four years ago in Peru when ice melted away. As per research and scientists the colors of the mountains are due to its mineralogy. The deposited salts give the mountain the hues which is a worth seeing phenomenon and someone when see this mountain can not remain silent and says Oh waooo!

            As per the archaeologists the Seven colored mountain is formed due to weathering  of rocks and climatic changes. But as it appeared, it is the gift of the nature for all of us to visit and enjoy the rainbow on land.

EXACT LOCATION:

            The seven colored mountain, the interesting place is located in the southern region of Peru, in between Cusipata and Pitumarca. It is located in the Vilcanota mountain range.

HOW CAN YOU REACH?

TOURISTS VISITING RAINBOW MOUNTAIN-CUZCO-PERU

            Cusco (Cuzco) is the nearest city from Rainbow Mountain and most tourists and visitors use this path. A drive of almost three hours will take you to the Rainbow Mountain from Cusco. You can use the public buses as well and can tell them to drop at Checacupe a town near Rainbow Mountain about two hours far from the Cusco. As to reach at the top of the mountain is done through hiking so must leave for Cusco early in the morning so that you can enjoy the beauty of the mountain properly.

BEST TIME TO VISIT:

            The best time to visit the international interesting place, the Rainbow Mountain is from July to August when there is no snow fall or ice at the top of the mountain and you can enjoy all the beautiful colors.
