THE STRANGE ANSOO/TEAR LAKE (JHEEL)-KAGHAN-PAKISTAN
 

INTRODUCTION/HISTORY:

        The Ansoo-or tear-molded lake, a natural master piece created by the Almighty, was discovered by Pakistan Air Force in 1993 while flying on low altitude. The beautiful tear lake is located at a height of 4245m (13927ft) above the sea level. The ice filled tear shaped lake is although so beautiful that its beauty can not be described in words, is unreachable for maximum visitors and tourists.The reason behind this is the severe cold weather.

         I by myself, visited the Saif ul Malook lake and planned to visit the Ansoo Lake but the friends of mine who were there accompanied me refused to do so because there was not a proper route to reach the beautiful landscape.

        The tourist reach this beautiful destination through horses and through hiking. The camping there when properly installed, produce a worth seeing seen. The tear shaped lake is a real landscape on earth. It is a blessing from Allah.

            The government of Pakistan must take initiatives to construct the road and provide facilities in terms of transportation, hotels and restaurants so that the more tourist visit this place and more revenue may be generated.

EXACT LOCATION:

            This lake is situated in Kaghan Velly District Mansehra Khayber Pakhutunkhaw. It is considered one of the most heighten lake of Himalayan Range. The way is from Saif ul Malook and and as I mentioned above you can reach this place through horses and mules. 

BEST TIME TO VISIT:

            The best time to visit such a beautiful  and glamorous lake is between July and August as in these months the ice melts and the lake appears in a shape of tear. Beyond these months, the lake remains full of ice and weather remains so cold that it becomes impossible to reach and see the beauty of the lake.

SAD POINT:

            It is also worth mentioned that if such place would situated in some European country then this may be the considered as one of the best tourist place and may be included in the Guinness Book Of World Record as no such natural and beautiful place like this is available all over the world.


A must visit place but hard to reach as all beautiful places are hard to reach......
